Camera Backpacks
A camera backpack is a must-have for any serious photographer, especially if you are a landscape photographer or travel a lot. Camera backpacks offer a comfortable carrying experience that's stable and dependable. You can store tons of gear, including tripods, lenses, camera bodies, drones. And a backpack is fully adjustable inside and out to accommodate your specialty gear and your body type. Once you experience the many benefits of a camera backpack, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one.
What should you know before choosing a camera backpack or travel backpack?
Before purchasing a camera backpack, you must consider your needs as a photographer and your preferences as a commuter. The four main points of consideration are comfort, accessibility, protection, and storage. A backpack should fit snuggly against your back, but not so tight that it's restricting. Quick access to your gear is the highest importance when on a photo shoot. The last thing you want is to be digging through your bag, wasting light and patience. Another vital factor is storage. Do you have enough space in your backpack to fit all of your gear? Once you can answer all of these questions, it is time to start shopping.

Once you do, consider one of our rugged SL3 backpacks for your travel and protection needs.
How to pack camera in backpack?
Our camera backpacks come equipped with specially constructed padded compartments. Each compartment is divided with velcro attachments. Before packing your pack, arrange your dividers to create custom sub-compartments that fit your camera equipment, and fully dismantle any attachments or peripherals you may have.
Once you're ready to pack your camera and gear, ensure that each piece of equipment fits snuggly in the sub-compartments you previously created. Each compartment should fit your stuff like a glove. If there is and room for movement whatsoever, your equipment is at risk of getting damaged in transit. Also, keep in mind that each compartment should house only one piece of equipment.
Now that you're all packed up, it's time to zip up your bag and get on the road. Check to make sure all zippers are completely zipped, put a lock on your zips if you'd like, and enjoy the journey!
How big should a backpack for camera be?
Your backpack should be big enough to fit your camera and all your gear snuggly, but not crowded. Plain and simple.
If you think you're overstuffing your backpack, it's time to get a bigger pack. If there's extra room in your bag, you can stuff the space with spare shirts or sheets. But, we recommend you get a bag that fits your gear. Take a look at our camera backpacks to see what you like.
Which material is used for your backpack?
Camera backpacks come in a wide range of materials. It can be overwhelming to choose with so many options. We make the choice simple for you by offering you two materials: leather or neoprene. Leather is durable and stylish. Neoprene is practical and lightweight. They're both excellent choices. Whatever your preference, your camera gear will be protected.
Leather Camera Backpacks
Possibly the most significant benefit of leather is its durability. Authentic leather backpacks, such as the ones you'll find in our catalog, only get better with time. Leather has less chance of tear than synthetic materials and looks more attractive as time takes its effect. Leather is also resistant to dry abrasion and is water-resistant. Unlike other materials, leather also resists dust mites and fungal attacks. Any of our leather travel bags, camera bags or laptop bags will treat your camera right.
Neoprene Camera Backpacks
Neoprene, like leather, has an outstanding physical toughness, which makes it an excellent all-purpose protectant for expensive cameras. Its physical and chemical properties make it heat, chemical, oil, and ozone resistant. Furthermore, neoprene is water and weather resistant! It maintains its flexibility no matter which climate you're in and is also resistant to sunlight, oxidation, sand, snow, and dust. Neoprene is prime material for your next camera backpack.
How much do camera backpacks cost?
Camera backpacks range anywhere from $50 to well above $300. Whether you want your bag to be waterproof, insulated, or shock-resistant will dramatically influence the price. In many cases, you're paying an extra $50 to $150 for a name brand pack instead of for quality. Don't be fooled by these brand names: you should only consider brands when it comes to purchasing a camera.
The build, storage, access, comfort, and price are your main points of interest when purchasing a camera backpack.
Camera Backpacks By Brand
Now, although the brand of your camera backpack doesn't particularly matter, the design of your pack does. We design our packs for brand-specific cameras. Our tailor-made bags fit a variety of camera brands, including Sony, Nikon, Canon, and more.
You must find a bag that accommodates your camera and accessories to ensure maximum protection. For example, if you get a digital camera backpack to store your DSLR, your DSLR and gear will be extremely cramped and may eventually break from the crowded storage space.
Always do your homework. And rest assured with a 30-day return period when you purchase from MegaGear.com.
