FUJIFILM X-E4 Overview

FUJIFILM X-E4 Overview

Fujifilm seems to be in an unstoppable rampage right now. A couple of days ago, we were all mind-blasted with the new GFX 100S. A camera so powerful and innovative, that made a lot of photographers turn their heads around. And even when not actually buying it, the same camera is perceived as a finally-affordable medium format camera. Meaning that a lot of professionals are seriously considering the investment. In fact, Fujifilm has had such a massive acceptance, that they've announced some shipping delays due to a lack of supply. But enough about that sweet medium format unicorn. Let's talk about another release made by Fuji in the aforementioned days, the Fuji X-E4!

As you have already noticed, we love coupling cameras together in romantic-like analogies. Therefore, it won't surprise you to see another reference to a sweet photographic blend. The X-E4 is truly like having a range-finder and point & shoot camera with us, with lens interchangeable capabilities in a compact mirrorless body. This is also the fourth release of the X-E camera system, but with some wicked upgrades.

FUJIFILM GFX 100S Overview

We aren't sure why Fujifilm is teasing the full-frame manufacturers with their new motto "more than Full-frame", especially when their medium format angle is extremely clear. They should even tease more on Hasselblad and the other big names with something like "proving that medium format is accessible" or something like that. Either way, we are extremely excited about this new GFX 100S camera, which made us think about it like a Mark II of the GFX 100, but boy, we were wrong.

In simple words, the GFX 100S is a 2021 upgrade of the original GFX 100, but in a way more compact size. Because, we have to be honest about it, the GFX 100 was a behemoth camera for several shooters. Especially those closely related and emotionally attached to Fujifilm. You know, agile content creators that love traveling and street photographers worldwide. But of course, at $5,999.00, there are some good stuff that deserve a further reading. So let's get down with them.

SONY ANNOUNCES ALPHA α1 MIRRORLESS CAMERA

SONY ANNOUNCES ALPHA α1 MIRRORLESS CAMERA

This is the One.

And we are definitely not kidding about that statement. Sony has a new flagship camera so powerful, that makes us think that, in fact, the α7 (all marks) was never their ultimate flagship camera. The brand new Sony α1 is the ultimate camera built to do EVERYTHING in an unbelievable way. But, don't expect it to be cheap. Listed at $6,498.00 body only, is not an entry level camera at all. This dark unicorn is aimed at the serious visual content creators (yeah, that's a cool way to refer to both photographers and videographers alike) for sure.

CANON EOS C70 CINEMA CAMERA

CANON EOS C70 CINEMA CAMERA

This is huge! And although we still haven't been able to get our hands around it, there's tons of information out there for us to take an approach to it. Cinema is quite different from photography in many ways, and video-dedicated cameras and optics are perhaps the most notorious ones. When we think about it, they both are completely distinct mediums that rely on cameras, making it confusing for some photographers to understand what true cinema cameras are all about, and vice-versa.

Without further-ado, let's take a broad and general look at Canon's latest cinema camera, the EOS C70.

Sony's New HVL-F28RM Flash

Sony's New HVL-F28RM Flash

Usually, we don't ourselves to be excited about the release of a flashgun, but this small and powerful radio wireless flash seems so reliable that we had to give it a special shout. Also, it appears to be the perfect combination for our previously discussed imaging solutions by Sony, the ɑ7C camera and the FE 28-60mm ƒ/4.0~5.6 zoom lens. But let's start talking a bit why we haven't reviewed gadgets like this one before getting deeper into Sony's HVL-F28RM External Flash.

SONY ANUNCIA UNA COMPACTA LENTE ZOOM FE 28-60MM ƒ4-5.6 PARA FORMATO COMPLETO

SONY ANNOUNCES TINY FE 28-60MM ƒ4-5.6 FULL-FRAME ZOOM

A couple of months ago, we briefly mentioned this lightweight kit-like lens announced by Sony followed after the new ɑ7C camera came alive. At that moment, it was only available with the ɑ7C camera, but later on it became an independent optic solution. Just by the FE 28-60mm ƒ/4.0~5.6 tag, it doesn't seem like much, so why bother to make a review on a lens that seems to be a kit one? Well, simply because it isn't one. This lens is a true full-frame 28-60mm 35mm equivalent, which makes it perfect for a broad arrange of photographic purposes; especially for shooting on the streets, which is one of our favorite things to do since we became closely related with photography.

Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 S and 50mm F1.2 S for Z-mount Unveiled

After the controversial news around Nikon closing its operations in Japan, we thought that it would be nice to talk about the 2 last lenses delivered by the brand. Same which might be the last ever to be manufactured in Japan. Of course, we are talking about the still very young 14-24mm ƒ/ 2.8 S and 50mm ƒ/1.2 S for Z-mount Nikon NIKKOR lenses.
